Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of psychological crisis intervention on the level of inflammatory factors in elderly patients with coronary heart disease. Methods Elderly patients with coronary heart disease were investigated with self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) and self-rating depression scale(SDS).The levels of inflammatory factors were examined. Then they were randomly divided into the intervention group(n = 180) and the control group(n = 90).Conventional heart disease medical treatment was given to both groups, while psychological crisis intervention was given to intervention group. After a year, they were investigated with SAS and SDS and the levels of inflammatory factors were examined again. Results After a year, the scores of SAS and SDS in intervention group were significantly lower than those rated in first time(P0.05,P0.01),and the scores were also significantly lower than before intervention in the groups of depression and anxiety in intervention group(P0.05).The levels of TNF-α,IL-6 and hs-CRP decreased after intervention in intervention group(P0.01),the extent of decrease was more significant in intervention group than in control group(P0.05).Conclusion Psychological crisis intervention could ease depression and anxiety of elderly patients with coronary heart disease and decrease the levels of inflammatory factors, but it had little effect on coronary heart disease patients without depression and anxiety.
