The study of the assessment and comprehensive intervention for elderly patients with depression and anxiety

Objective To explore the effect of the assessment and comprehensive intervention for elderly patients with depression and anxiety.Methods 80 elderly patients with depression and anxiety in our hospital from December 2009 to December 2012,according to the different treatment ways divided into two groups,the control group and the intervention group,40 cases of each group.patients of the control group were treated with simple drug treatment,patients of the intervention group were treated with simple drug treatment and psychological intervention therapy,patients of two groups used the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS),Seattle coronary heart disease questionnaire(SAQ) to evaluate the anxiety and depression status assessment after 1,3 week.The evaluation results of two groups were compared.Results Patients of two groups after 3 weeks treatment,the score of the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS)of the intervention group were lower than that in the control group(P 0.05),the effect of the intervention group was higher than that in the control group(P 0.05),the score of the Seattle coronary heart disease questionnaire(SAQ)of the intervention group were higher than that in the control group(P 0.05).Conclusion The effect of psychological intervention basis on simple drug treatment for elderly patients with depression and anxiety is good.The physical and life quality of patients significantly,it is worthy of clinical popularization.
