Abstract

Objective To analyze the influence of psychological interventions on coronary heart disease(CHD) with anxiety and depression in the elderly. Methods A total of 100 patients with CHD were selected from November 2010 to November 2012,who met the inclusion criteria and had different degrees of anxiety and depression. They were randomly divided into psychological intervention group(observation group)and simple drug intervention group(control group),50 cases for each group.Self rating scale(SAS)and self rating scale(SDS)were used to evaluate the mental state in both groups.Measurement data were processed with t-test,the result of P0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results In observation group, the scores of SAS and SDS were(53.8±4.1)and(57.2±4.5)points respectively before intervention,and(41.7±3.4)and(35.6±3.0)points respectively after intervention. In control group, the scores of SAS and SDS were(54.4±4.3)and(56.8±4.6)points respectively before intervention,and(47.9±3.7)and(45.2±3.5)points respectively after intervention. The scores of SAS and SDS were significantly decreased in both groups after intervention(P0.05).Observation group had significant improvement in psychological state after intervention, which was superior to control group and the difference was statistically significant between groups(P0.05).Conclusions With psychological counseling and necessary drug intervention, the adverse reactions such as anxiety and depression get obviously improved in the elderly with CHD,which is of important significance to the improvement of quality of life in patients with CHD.
