On Harmonious Integration of Humanistic Qualities and Tool-service Qualities of Higher Vocational English Education

Whether English education should highlight its tool-service qualities or humanistic qualities has been a hotly argued topic in the world of foreign language education at universities and colleges.By analyzing the current status of lacking of the humanistic qualities in higher vocational English education and the core features of holistic education theory,the paper puts forward a point of view that higher vocational English education should integrate humanistic qualities and tool-service qualities harmoniously,and attempts to construct a frame of English courses to guarantee the work of the integration.
