Abstract

In a pH 3.2 Britton Robinson buffer solution proteins form a red complex with Arenazo I.Its maximum absorption peak is 551 nm with molar absorptivity of 2.5×10 5 L·mol -1 ·cm -1 .Beer's law is obeyed in a range from 13.2 mg/L to 231 mg/L.The proposed method has been applied to determination of proteins in serum and peanut samples.
