Abstract
Poetry translation is,in the final analysis,aesthetic translation,the internal requirements of which closely correlate with aesthetic principles of cultural communication.This article explores the aesthetic requirements of ancient Chinese poetry translation,the aesthetic principles of cultural communication,and the correlation between them,then,puts forward the viewpoint that the aesthetic requirements of ancient Chinese poetry translation should be guided by the aesthetic principles of cultural communication and proposes some specific methods.
