Abstract
In order to analyze the energy efficiency in China, the paper chooses two indicators: energy consumption per GDP and energy consumption per product.By studying their change trends in a long time and the comparison with other countries, the following conclusions can be drawn: first, during the past 40 years, the three-stage features of China's energy consumption intensity is closely related to the stage changes in economic development;second, the energy consumption intensity in China is at an average level, the energy consumption intensity's peak value has not yet arrived, third, from now on,our focus should be put on savings of energy by improving technology and management, what is more important is the consciousness of energy conservation.
