ISOLATION AND CULTURE OF MYCOPLASMA FOR MALE NON-GONOCOCCAL URETHRITIS

Isolation and culture of mycoplasma from urethral secretion and serumal antibody test were carried out in 22 cases of male non-gonococcal urethritis (NGU)patients. The resul trevealed mycoplasma (68.2％) was positive in 15 cases. The positive rate of ureaplasma urealyticum and mycoplasma homrnis was 60％ and 27％ respectively, and both were positive in 13％, with 9/15 was positive of the serum antibody test. It suggests that the mycoplasma is an important organism of NGU. Isolation and culture of mycoplasma and serum antibody test is helpful for early diagnosis of pathogen of NGU. Ciprofloxacin and Ofloxacini are effective for mycoplasma infection.
