New small-sized watermelon variety with yellow rind - Quanxin No. 2 and Quanxin No. 3

Quanxin No. 2 and Quanxin No. 3 are good small-sized watermelon varieties with yellow rind bred by Hunan Bodalong Science Technology Development Co. Ltd. Quanxin No. 2 is an early-maturing variety with 85 days growth period and 27 days fruit developing period. The average weight of fruit is about 2-2.5 kg. Its yield is 2 000-2 400 kg/667 m2 in open field and 3 500-4 600 kg/667 m2 in greenhouse. The fruit is oval,light yellow rind with yellow narrow stripped and 0.7 cm thickness skin. The flesh is bright yellow with little green fiber,and tasty and refreshing. Its center soluble solid content is about 12%. It is disease-resistant. Quanxin No. 3 is an early-maturity variety with 85 days growth period and 28 days fruit developing period. The average weight of fruit is about 2.3 kg. Its yield is 2 200-2 600 kg/667 m2 in open field and 3 500-4 600 kg/667 m2 in greenhouse. The plant is vigorous with disease resistance. The rate of length and width of fruit is 1.16. The flesh is dark red,juicy and refreshing. Its center soluble solid content is about 11.5%.
