Mid-Small Seedless Watermelon Variety ‘Boshuai’

Boshuai is a mid-small yellow flesh seedless watermelon variety bred by Hunan Bodalong Science and Technology Development Co.,Ltd.The fruit matures 90 days from sowing and 27 days from pollination.The plant has moderate to strong vigor and has good resistance to diseases and tolerance to stress.The fruit is short oval with the fruit shape index of 1.2 and average fruit weight 4 kg.The durable rind is 0.9 cm in thickness and has light green skin and green narrow stripes.Its canary-yellow flesh is crisp and tasty with small quantities of fibers and soluble solids content 12.0%-13.0% in center portion and 9.0%-9.5% in near rind portion.The yield per 667 m2 is about 2 700 kg under normal condition.The variety is registered with Hunan Crop Variety Certification Committee in March,2009 with certificate number 2009002.
