Abstract
Objective To compare the efficacy of left cetirizine and cinnarizine and in the treatment of chronic urticaria.Method 90 patients with chronic urticaria were divided into the levocetirizine and cetirizine group, and each group with 45 patients. The levocetirizine group was taken with the hydrochloric levocetirizine 5 mg / time, and 1 time/ d.The cetirizine group was taken the hydrochloric cetirizine 10 mg / 1 / d.After treatment for 28 days, the clinical efficacy, urticaria signs and symptoms score and adverse events of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate after treatment for 28 days in the levocetirizine group was 88.89%,significantly higher than the total effective rate of the cetirizine group of 82.22%(P0.05),the cure rate between the two groups was with no significant difference,P0.05.The wheal diameter, number of wheal, attack duration, itching scores of levocetirizine group after the treatment were significantly lower than cetirizine group,P0.05.There were 2 cases of mouth dry,3 cases of mild lethargy, and the total adverse reaction incidence was 11.11% in the levocetirizine group. There were 3 cases of dry mouth,5 cases of serious lethargy, the total adverse reaction rate was 17.78% in the cetirizine group, there had significant differences in the two groups. Conclusion The clinical effect of levocetirizine in the treatment of chronic urticaria is significant, and it is with a low incidence of adverse reactions.
