An analysis of current situation of track and field teaching in ordinary colleges and universities and reform measures

The author analyzed and studied the problems currently existing in track and field teaching in ordinary colleges and universities,and revealed the following findings: Teaching requirement and student's physical condition is a pair of highlighted contradictions;social reform,an event's own characteristics,teaching researches carried out by the teachers,teaching objectives set by the teachers,and environmental conditions for teaching are important affecting factors;the main measures for track and field reform are to improve teacher's quality comprehensively,update teaching methods,reform examination system,select teaching materials carefully,and make track and field teaching materials themselves more scientific and complete,so as to meet the requirements of most students for learning on the basis of the goal to build up interest,develop capability and form an exercising habit under the precondition of health.
