Abstract
Objective:To observe the effect of panaxoside-Rg3 on mice implanted intraperitoneally with ascites tumor cells. Methods:Fifty female and 50 male Kunming mice were randomized into five groups: GroupⅠ,normal saline(0.9%NS); Group Ⅱ,cisplatin(DDP 0.5mg/kg); Group Ⅲ,low-dose panaxoside-Rg3(LPD 0.3mg/kg); Group Ⅳ, middle-dose panaxoside-Rg3 (MPD 1.0mg/kg); Group Ⅴ,high-dose panaxoside-Rg3(HPD 3.0mg/kg). All groups were established experimental ascitic hepatocarcinoma of H22 lines model, and 24 hours later intraperitoneal infusion of 0.2ml medicines was given to each mouse once every day for 14 days. At the same time, we observed animation and body weight. 24 hours after the end of the treatment, half mice of each group were executed and examined differently.Others were observed the survival. Results:Amount of ascites (P0.05), number of tumor cells and survival rate of tumor cells of group Ⅱ-Ⅴ were less than group 1 differently (P0.05). With the increase of concentration of panaxoside-Rg3, number of tumor cells and survival rate of tumor cells in ascites had the tendency to drop (P0.05). Number of tumor cells and survival rate of tumor cells of the HPD group was lower than the DDP group (P0.05). Group Ⅱ-Ⅴ obviously prolonged life of the mice, the survival time of the MPD group was the most outstanding (P0.05). Conclusion:Panaxoside-Rg3 is an effective drug for treatment of the production of ascites, this would offer foundation of theory for clinical application.
