A Cross-Cultural Study on Images in English and Chinese Poetry

As the basic component of poetry,image performs a pretty important role in poetry appreciation and translation in both Chinese and English.The differences of languages,cultures and customs have resulted in different cultural implications of image.By comparison of some specific images of nature,plants and animals,this article has illustrated different cultural implications of images and hopes to go into further cross-cultural communication.
