Abstract

This paper looks back on the development of Chinese as a subject since Chinese established itself as an independent branch of academic study 100 years ago. It analyzes the direct influence of J.Deway's democratic educational thought and Kairov Ivan Andreyelich's educational theory and the post-modernism curriculum theory on the orientation of Chinese instruction.It points out that Chinese language education should explore its development based on the common rules of education.It expects that Chinese education will develop better with the combination of indigenization and post-modernism.
