Abstract
Gu Huangchu is a well known contemporary Chinese educationist. For 50 years, he has devoted himself to seeking a suitable way to reform Chinese teaching by painstaking studies of the education in both ancient and modern times. He has gradually developed his own Chinese education ideas which has laid a solid foundation for establishing a theoretical system of Chinese education and promoting contemporary Chinese teaching reforms.
