Abstract

Objective:To study the surgical treatment of for fungal sinusitis, different methods of operation was used according to the area of the disease,in order to cure them.Method:According to the symptom and CT images of the sinus, different surgical methods was chosen for these patients. Results:Among 42 patients,39 of them received functional nasal endoscopic sinus surgery and Caldwell-Luc surgery,1 patients coronal incision of pre-calotte,and 2 patients lateral rhinotomy. Conclusion:The surgery for fungal sinusitis would destroy the abnormal tissues completely and make a big enough channel for aeration and drainage. All of patients had no recurrence after 1~6 years after operation.
