Clinical Efficacy of Yupingfeng Powder Combined Pidotimod in Treatment of Recurrent Respiratory Tract Infections Patients and Its Influence on Immune Function

Objective: To observe the traditional Chinese medicine prescription Yupingfeng Powder combined with pidotimod in the treatment of recurrent respiratory tract infection and the effects on the immune function of the patients. Methods: 119 patients with recurrent respiratory tract infections in our hospital were randomly divided into observation group and control group,67 cases in the observation group and control group 52 cases. Conventional treatment was pidotimod dispersible tablets. The observation group added Yupingfeng Powder. The patients' symptoms,immune function and other indicators were compared. Results: The patients' all major symptoms disappearing time in the observation group was less than that of the control group,but only the cough disappearing time was statistically significant( P 0. 05) and wheezing disappearing time,cooling time and pulmonary rale disappearing time didn't have statistically significant difference( P 0. 05). In the control gorup,25 cases were cured and 20 cases effective and 9 cases in effective,and the total effective rate was 83. 3%. In the observation group,there were 31 cases cured,35 cases effective,4 cases ineffective,and the total effective rate was 94. 3%. Total efficiency between two groups had significant differences( P 0. 05). Before treatment,the immune indexes didn't have statistically significant difference( P 0. 05). Two months later,the observation group's IgG,IgA,IgM,and CD+ 3,CD+ 4,CD+ 4/ CD+ 8levels were significantly higher than those of the control group( P 0. 05). After 2 months treatment,two groups' serum IgG,IgA,IgM,and CD+3,CD+4,CD+4/ CD+8were higher than those before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusion: The conventional treatment combined with Yupingfeng Powder and pidotimod therapy can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and immune function,and effectively reduce its recurrent respiratory infections recurrence when treating recurrent respiratory tract infections.This method is worthy of application in clinic.
