The efficacy comparison of tension-free inguinal hernia repair surgery and traditional hernia repair

Objective To compare the efficacy of tension-free inguinal hernia repair surgery and hernia repair surgery.Methods Seleced 100 cases inguinal hernia patients from January 2009 to January 2011 in our hospital,and tension-free hernia repair treatment of 50 cases as the observation group,50 cases of the same period in the application of traditional hernia repair as a control group.Results The observation group had shorter operative time,less blood loss,postoperative ambulation earlier,length of stay was also shorter than the control group,the postoperative complication rate,low recurrence rate,the difference was significant between two groups(P 0.05).Conclusion The tension-free inguinal hernia repair has the advantage of shorter operative time,less bleeding,fewer complications,lower recurrence rate than traditional hernia repair,and it is worthy of extensive promotion and application.
