Abstract
Objective To observe effects of salmeterol and fluticasone propionate inhalation on pulmonary function in chronic obstruction pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods Eighty-five patients with COPD were divided into two groups. The control group ( 40 cases)was treated with oral dose of 0.2 g doxofylline twice per day.The observation group (45 cases) was treated with salmeterol(50 μg) and fluticasone proprinate (110 μg) inhalant .After discharge, the control group was administered with doxofylline alone for one year, the observation group was administered with doxofylline combined with salmeterol and fluticasone propionate inhalant for one year.Pulmonary function was observed in two groups. Results Before treatment ,there was no obvious difference in pulmonary function of two groups(P0.05).After treatment ,indices of pulmonary function in the observation group were better than those in the control group(P0.01).Conclusion Salmeterol and fluticasone propionate inhalant can improve pulmonary function in COPD patients.
