Abstract
We introduce the method of analyzing and calculating flood diversion effect of water diversion works from Yangtze River to Hanjiang River in the upper 4-lakes area and determine different flood diversion schemes and boundary conditions.According to the flood flowing into the lake in different typical years,we simulate the correspondent flood hazards in the upper 4-lakes area.Based on the comparative analysis on effects of flood diversion and without diversion,it is shown that flood diversion of Shiqiao River can reduce the probability of using flood storage and detention areas,and the water discharge to the four lakes.
