Abstract

Objective It is to observe the curative effect of Tanreqing injection on acute respiratory tract infection(ARTI) in children. Methods 87 children with ARTI were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.Based on conventional therapy, treatment group was added with Tanreqing injection and control group was added with Mucosolvin injection. The changes of cough, sputum quantity, expectoration difficult or easy extent and CRP in the two groups were observed. Results After treatment for three days, the cough was relieved, sputum quantity was reduced, expectoration extent was relieved and symptom score was gradually lowered followed the treatment time extended in the two groups(all P0.05).The total effective rate of the treatment group was 86% after treatment for seven days, being superior to that of the control group(67%,P0.05).And CRP in treatment group was obviously lowered. Conclusion Tanreqing injection has obviously action of relieving fever, stopping cough and removing phlegm and its safety is good.
