Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of Mifepristone and Misoprostol for abortion of pregnancy of 10~16 weeks through different route of administration. Method 168 cases of pregnancies during 10~16 weeks were randomized into two groups after taking Mifepristone 150mg: 83 cases were given Misoprostol through vagina and 85 cases took it orally. Results There was no significant difference in abortion time and blood loss between two groups(χ2=0.075,P0.05).Cases who took Misoprostol orally had more adverse reaction than those who were given Misoprostol through vagina(χ2=11.53,P0.05). Conclusion Mifepristone and Misoprostol are effective, safe and simple for abortion of pregnancy of 10~16 weeks. Misoprostol given through vagina has less adverse reaction than taking orally.
