Abstract
The effect of solution treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of 2E12 aluminum alloy rolled plates were studied by OM,SEM,DSC,room temperature tensile, hardness and conductivity tests. The results show that the coarse second phase gradually decreases when the alloy is solution treated at higher temperature for longer time, the hardness reached to peak at 500℃/30min and 500℃/1h.The most reasonable solution treatment process for 2E12 aluminum alloy was 495~500℃/1h.
