Abstract

To determine the common regularity in exercise'seffect on mild hypertension. Methods:We identified 68 patients with mild hypertension and we observed the changes in blood pressure one month and three months, respectively, before and after they took early exercise. Results:After they took early exercise for one month, their systolic blood pressure(SBP) lowered significantly.so did SBP and diastolic blood pressure(DBP) after three months, with no significant difference between male and female patients. SBP and DBP lowered greater in long duration of exercise (≥1 hour/day),compared with that in short duration(1 hour/day).Conclusions:The results of our study demonstrate that exercise therapy can lower blood pressure.
