Abstract

Objective To evaluate the visual quality after iris location wavefront guided LASIK for myopia.Methods Iris location wavefront aberration guided LASIK was performed in 78 patients(156 eyes ) as experimental group and traditional LASIK was performed in 82 patients(164 eyes ) as control group.The visual acuity,residual refraction,contrast sensitivity and wavefront aberration at postoperative 6 weeks between two groups were compared.Results At postoperative 6 months,the uncorrected visual acuity of all patients in two groups surpassed the preoperative best corrected visual acuity,but there was no statistical difference(P0.05).The residual refraction at postoperative 6 months were(0.50±0.38) D in experimental group and(0.64±0.49) D in control group,there was statistical difference(P0.05).The photopic contrast sensitivity under the medium spatial frequency(6.0 c·d-1 and 12.0 c·d-1) in experimental group was better than that in control group(P0.05),while the scotopic contrast sensitivity with glare under the low spatial frequency(1.5 c·d-1 and 3.0 c·d-1) in experimental group was better than that in control group(P0.05).The root mean square of total high order aberration values were 0.548±0.340 and 0.745±0.380 in the two groups,there was statistical difference(P0.05).The root mean square of total high order aberration value in experimental group added 20.21% and control groups added 37.48%,there was statistical difference(P0.05).Conclusion The postoperative residual refraction,contrast sensitivity,wavefront aberration and root mean square of total high order aberration in patients with iris location wavefront guided LASIK for myopia are better than those in controls,the visual quality of patient is improved.
