Abstract
Objective To compare visual function after the standard laser in situ keratomileusis(LASIK) and wavefront aberration guided customized laser in situ keratomileusis(wavefront LASIK).Methods Sixty patients(120 eyes,Diopter-3.25~-10.00 D) that needed refractive surgeries were recruited into two groups: wavefront-guided LASIK group(60 eyes) and the standard group(60 eyes).Corneal topography,bright and dark environment contrast sensitivity,and wavefront aberration(VISX) were examined preoperatively and 1-month and 3-month postoperatively.Data were analyzed using SPSS17.0 statistical software.Results The visual acuity in the two groups significantly improved after treatment.Contrast sensitivity was higher in wavefront group than in standard group at all frequencies,regardless the bright/dark environment or glare/no glare conditions.Aberrations fluctuated in both groups early after treatment.In dark environment,pass rate was higher in wavefront group than in standard group.This difference was more prominent in a glare condition.Corneal topography was mostly homogeneous at all postoperative stages in both groups.Wavefront group demonstrated a higher shape ratio than standard group did.Conclusion Compared with standard LASIK,wavefront guided LASIK has advantages in postoperative visual quality.
