Effect of Early Enteral Nutrition on Patients with Severe Acute Pancreatitis

Objective To explore the effect of early enteral nutrition application on patients with severe acute pancreatitis.Methods 35 severe acute pancreatitis patients were randomly divided into two groups,the enteral nutrition group(18 cases) and the conventional group(17 cases),the clinical outcomes of two groups were observed.Results The cure rate of the enteral nutrition group and the conventional group was 83.3%(15/18) and 64.7%(11/17) respectively,there was signif icant difference between the two groups(P0.05).The hospitalization time and cost were signif icantly reduced,the infection rate,the operation rate and MODS rate were signif icantly lower in enteral nutrition group than in conventional group(P0.05 or P0.01).But no obvious differences in mortality.Conclusion Early enteral nutrition support is one of the effective treatments and play a positive role in severe acute pancreatitis patients.
