Abstract
Objective To study the effects of nursing intervention on elderly coronary heart disease patients with hospitalized insomnia. Methods 102 elderly coronary heart disease patients with hospitalized insomnia were assigned to the experimental group and the control group. The control group was given routine nursing, then the experimental group was given systematic insomnia nursing intervention,on the basis of the control group. The evaluation indexes of patients' sleep quality, usage amount of hypnotic drugs, quality of life and incidence of cardiovascular emergencies were compared between the two groups. Results In the experimental group, the sleep quality was significantly better than the control group(P 0.05);the usage amount of hypnotic drugs were lower than the control group(P 0.05);the quality of life was higher than the control group(P 0.05);and the incidence of cardiovascular emergencies in the control group was significantly higher than that in the experimental group(P 0.05).Conclusion Nursing intervention for elderly coronary heart disease patients with hospitalized insomnia can improve patients' sleep quality significantly, decrease the usage amount of hypnotic drugs, improve the quality of life, reduce the incidence of cardiovascular emergencies and stabilize the state of illness.
