Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation between serum levels of lipoprotein(a) and the severity of coronary artery disease. Methods In 326 subjects undergone coronary angiography, serum levels of lipoprotein(a),apolipoproteins A-I and Apo-B,total cholesterol,HDLC,LDLC,triglycerides were measured. Results Significant differences were found in serum levels of lipoprotein(a)and HDLC between the control group and the study group, but no significant differences were found in other parameters investigated. Conclusion Serum levles of Lp(a) correlate well with the severity of coronary atherosclerosis.
