Abstract
Objective Compare the sedation and analgesia effect of using Propofol compound with fentanyl and using propofol alone in mechanical-ventilate ICU patients. Method Divide the forty patients into to groups stochastically, then record the systolic blood pressure (SBP) ,diastolic blood pressure(DBP) ,heart rate(HR) ,respiratory rate(R),oxygen saturation(SaO_2) before using and 8, 16,24,32,40,48,56,64,72 hours after the using of propofol compound with fentanyl and propofol alone respectively,as well as record every 24-hour urine volume, the incidence of nausea and vomiting, sedation effect, 72 hours total amount of propofol, and the time of waking up after the use of Propofol. Result During the whole process of observation, there were no obvious differences of SBP, DBP, HR, R, SaO_2, every 24-hour urine volume and the incidence of nausea and vomiting between the two groups (P0.05). There is a obvious decrease of SBP after 8 hours of sedating in both groups(P0.05) ,while a obvious increase of SBP、DBP、HR、R、SaO_2 after 8 hours of sedating in both groups(P0.05). Of the total volume of using Propofol, the observation group was less than the control group and for the time of waking up after using propofol, observation group was earlier than the control group. Conclusion As comparing the use of propofol compound with fentanyl and using propofol alone, the former use of propofol is only 25% of the latter, and the waking up time is obviously earlier. Therefore, it is practical and economic in the sedation treatment to mechanical-ventilate ICU patients.
