The analgesic effect of Dexameson and Ropivacaine after knee arthroscopy

Objective To observe and contrast analgesic effect of Dexameson and Ropivacaine after knee arthroscopy.Methods 60 patients undergoing single side elective knee arthroscopy were assigned randomly into two groups(group A and group B).In the group A,dexameson 5 mg combined with 0.894% ropivacaine 4 ml were injected to intra-articular after operation with knee arthroscopy.In group B,0.894% ropivacaine 5 ml were injected at the same time.Vision Analogue Score(VAS) were made in various time after operation respectively.Results VAS of group A was significantly lower than that of group B in all observe time(P0.05).Conclusion Intra-articular injection of Dexameson combined with Ropivacaine can not only alleviate the ache effectively after knee arthroscopy but has a longer postoperative analgesic duration.
