The Effect of Crossbreeding the Nanjiang Yellow Goats With the Shannan White Goats

The results of crossbreeding the Nenjiang Yellow Goats with she Shaannan White Goats in the Ankang area were summarized in this paper. The statistic results showed that the crossbred F 1 of the Nanjiang yellow Goats and the shaannan White Goats grew faster and were bigger, tolerated the roughage and had better adaptitility and desease resistance; the body weight during different periods was higher than the shaannan white goats apparently (P0.01); the Yearly body weight and the average daily gain of crossbred F 1 were 35.54±1.75 kg and 91.8 g/d, which were 35.1% and 35.8% higher than the Shaannan White Goats respectively; the heterotic vigor of crossbred F 1 in body weight reached 20.3%, the body weight in the year met the market requirement and the crossbred had bigger economic benefits than the Shaannan white Goats.\;
