Abstract
Objective:To investigate the relationship between Chlamydia pneumoniae(Cpn) infection and C reactive protein(CRP) and Von Willebrand factor(vWF) in coronary heart disease(CHD) in an attempt to find out the probable nosogenesis of CHD.Methods:Blood samples were collected from the experimental group and the normal control group. The serum specific antibodies of Cpn were measured by the microimmunofluorescence test, the CRP level was measured by turbidimetric immunoassay and the vWF level was measured by enzyme linked immunoassay(ELISA) in both the experimental group and the normal control group. Results:The positive rates of Cpn specific antibody in AIM group and UAP group were higher than that the rate of control group(P0.01).The levels of vWF and CRP in CHD were higher than the level of control group(P0.05) and positively correlated to each other. The levels of vWF and CRP in seropositive individuals were higher than those in seronegative individuals(P0.05) and they were positively correlated to the geometric mean titer(IgG).Conclusion:Chronic infection with Cpn may contribute to the initiation and progression of atherosclerosis by inducing the proinflammatory cytokine vWF,which may promote and increase the blood viscosity, and the incidence rate of thrombus of artery is increased.
