Zhang Jian's Outlook of Culture and His Practice in Museum

Zhang Jian established Nantong Museum in the early 20th century for the purpose of protecting cultural relics,inheriting and improving traditional Chinese culture,realizing the prosperity of China and facilitating education with the reference to modern western museum culture.Zhang Jian advocated and practiced the combining education of science and humanism,and the combination of traditional Chinese humanistic culture and modern western sciences and cultures,both of which have theoretically and practically contributed a lot to museum construction in China.
