The curative effect of whole course rehabilitation nursing intervention on mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease patients

Objective To evaluate the curative effect of whole course rehabilitation nursing intervention on mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease(AD).Methods A total of 96 cases with AD were randomly divided into a control group and a study group.The control group receive conventional therapy with Piracetam and Donepezil,while the study group,on the basis of conventional therapy,were administrated whole course rehabilitation nursing intervention including cognitive intervention,memory intervention,behavior intervention,psychological intervention,safety intervention,community family nursing intervention,etc.The improvement of recognition ability,mental state,activities of daily life were graded by mini-mental state examination(MMSE),Alzheimer' disease assessment scale-cog(ADAS-cog),activity of daily living(ADL),neuropsychiatric inventory(NPI),global deterioration scale(GDS).The scores were compared between the groups before the nursing intervention and one year after the nursing intervention respectively.Results Compared with those of the control group,the scores of MMSE,ADAS-cog,ADL,NPI,GDS in the study group present obviously better figures which were more statistically significant after whole course rehabilitation nursing intervention one year(P0.05).Conclusion Whole course rehabilitation nursing intervention can improve the cognitive ability,activities of daily life and spirit behavior symptoms of patients with mild to moderate AD.
