Clincal Observation of Sangchan Zhike Recipe for Treatment of Subacute Dryness-heat Cough

Objective:To observe clinical efficacy of Sangchan Zhike Recipe for the treatment of subacute dryness-heat cough.Methods:One hundred subacute dryness-heat cough with the disease course being 3~8 weeks were randomized into treatment group(n=60) and control group(n=40).The treatment group received Sangchan Zhike Recipe and the control group received honey refined Chuanbei Pipa Paste produced by Nin Jiom Company.The treatment for both groups lasted 7 days.After treatment,the therapeutic effect was evaluated.Results:After treatment for 3 days,the cure rate was 13.33% and the overall effective rate was 66.67% in the treatment group,and was 5.00%,50.00% respectively in the control group,the difference being insignificant(P0.05).After treatment for 7 days,the cure rate was 51.67% and the overall effective rate was 100% in the treatment group,and was 22.50%,80.00% respectively in the control group,the difference being significant(P 0.01).The hemogram parameters and hepatic and renal function indexes were in the normal range before and after treatment(P0.05).Conclusion:Sangchan Zhike Recipe is effective and safe for the treatment of subacute dryness-heat cough.
