Abstract

OBJECTIVETo investigate the anti-tumor effects of the Ethyl acetate extraction of Lonicera caerulea L. Var. edulis Turcz. Ex Herd(EELC) on mice bearing sarcoma 180(S_(180)) and hepatocarcinoma 22(H_(22)).METHODSThe weight of tumor and immunity organ were measured with the EELC administered (orally) at 1.0,2.0,4.0g/kg in mice, and the inhibition rate of tumor and the index of thymus and spleen were detected after 10 days.RESULTSEELC inhibited the growth of solid tumor of mice bearing S_(180) obviously. In the groups of high, middle and low dosage, the tumor inhibition rate on mice bearing S_(180) were 50.99%, 39.45% and 27.84%, respectively; EELC inhibited the growth of solid tumor of mice H_(22). In the groups of high, middle and low dosage, the tumor inhibition rate on mice H_(22) were 30.09%, 19.16% and 13.33%, (respectively.)CONCLUSIONEELC inhibited growth of tumor on mice S_(180) and H_(22).
