Abstract

Objective To study the inhibitory effect of Shengxinghuayu decoction on murine transplanted hepatocarcinoma 22 (H_ 22 ) and murine transplanted sarcoma 180 (S_ 180 ) in vivo. Methods Tumor inhibitory activities were tested in experimental tumor (H_ 22 and S_ 180 ) mice. The tumor bearing mice were randomly divided into control group, cyclophosphamide group and Shengxinghuayu decoction treatment group. These mice were treated with different dose Shengxinhuayu decoction, such as 26 mg/g,13 mg/g and 6.5 mg/g for 10 days.Anatomized solid tumor was weighed respectively to calculate tumor inhibitory rate. Results Shengxinghuayu decoction treatment group had significant antitumor activity on mice borne S_ 180 ,which the inhibitory rate was above 30%,and on mice borne H_ 22 in 26 mg/g dose group, which the inhibitory rate above 30%. Conclusion The results showed that Shengxinghuayu decoction has obvious antitumor effects.
