Abstract

In order to compare the efficacy of several insecticides on rice planthopper, the control effects of pymetrozine 25% WP,spirotetramat 24% SC,ethiprole 10% SC,imidacloprid 70% WG and buprofezin 25% WP were tested in field condition. The results showed that pymetrozine 25% WP was the best effective insecticide for controlling rice planthopper with the control effects at 84.73%,91.07% and 97.72% after treated 3 d,7 d and 14 d respectively, followed by spirotetramat 24% SC and buprofezin 25% WP with the control effects up to 82% after treated 14 d.The effect of ethiprole 10% SC didn't performed good, with the control effects at 58.76%-75.15% after treated 3-14 d.The effect of imidacloprid 70% WG was poor, with the control effects all 67.80% below.
