Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship between severity of coronary lesion and left ventricular end-diastolic pressure(LVEDP) in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD). Methods CHD patients(n=359) with coronary angiography(CAG) were divided into CHD group(n=135) and non-CHD group(n=224). All patients were given CAG and LVEDP detection at the same time. SYNTAX integrals of coronary lesion were calculated according to CAG outcomes, and correlation between SYNTAX integral and LVEDP was studied. Results The difference in LVEDP had statistical significance between 2 groups [(21.72±3.21) mm Hg vs.(3.71±0.46) mm Hg, P0.01], and LVEDP was greatly correlated to SYNTAX integral(r=0.89, P0.01). Conclusion The left ventricular diastolic function is positively correlated to severity of coronary lesion in CHD patients.
