Abstract
AIM: To study the impact of diabetes mellitus on left ventricular end-diastolic pressure of(patients) with coronary artery stenosis.METHODS: Among the recruited 662 patients with significant coronary artery stenosis,110 patients were complicated with diabetes mellitus(CHD+DM group) and 552 patients without diabetes(CHD group).All patients were examined using left ventricular angiography.Ejection fraction(LVEF) and end-diastolic pressure of left ventricular(LVEDP) were measured.(RESULTS): LVEDP in patients of CHD+DM group was significantly higher than that in CHD group,while there was no significant difference in LVEF between two groups.CONCLUSION: Diabetes mellitus aggravates the ventricular function of patients with coronary artery stenosis,especially the diastolic function,which can result in the increasing of LVEDP.
