Abstract
Objective To distinguish the diagnostic value of high frequency ultrasound machines in inguinal masses of children. Method 87 patients with inguinal masses were examined and diagnosed with high frequency ultrasound. All these cases were verified by pathology or operation. Result Inguinal hernias were in 42 cases, chryptorchism were in 23 cases, hydrocele of tunica vaginalis in 18 cases, lymphnoditis in 3 cases, tuberculosis of tunica vaginalis in 1 cases. The diagnostic accurate rate was 96.55%.Conclusion Diagnostic accuracy rate of high frequency ultrasound for inguinal masses is rather high and it may serve as an initial imaging technique for inguinal mass diagnosis.
