Abstract
Objective: To explore the effect and clinical value of application of high frequency ultrasound in the diagnosis of inguinal hernia. Methods: 41 patients with inguinal hernia were conducted ultrasound scanning performed by a 7 ~ 10 MHz ultrasound probe, and the data were analyzed from January 2004 to December 2012 in Gujiao Central Hospital of Shanxi Province. Results: Among a total of 41 patients with inguinl hernia,39 cases were indirect and 2 direct herina, the sonography of which was typical. Besides, the intestine was hypoechoic with peristalsis, and the adipose tissue was hyperechoic. Conclusions: The high frequency ultrasound is the first choice for the clinically diagnose of inguinal hernia. It is beneficial to provide reliable positioning and qualitative for clinical diagnosis.
