Abstract
Many researches have made some research on learner's autonomy of English learning in our country's universities.However,these researches are confined in top and long-established universities in the east of China.The article focuses on learners' autonomy in newly up-graded universities in central China.Definition of the newly up-graded universities is the first part of the article and questionnaires are investigated among 376 students.The result indicates that learns' autonomy in these universities are quite low.
