Abstract
Autonomy in English learning has been a hot topic in the field of foreign language education in recent years.To cultivate students′ autonomy in English learning is one of the most important requirements proposed in the new College English Curriculum Requirements.This paper makes an investigation on college students′ autonomy in English learning in the northwestern area of China.It is showed that most college students have the basic autonomous learning ability,but there are still some problems in the exercise.
