Analysis on Fang's Scalp Acupuncture and Body Acupuncture to Improve Neck Pain and Vertigo of Patients with Vertebral Artery Type of Cervical Spondylosis

Objective:To explore the improvements of neck pain and vertigo in patients with vertebral artery type of cervical spondylosis treated with Fang's scalp acupuncture and body acupuncture,therefore to raise clinical effects of acupuncture in treating CSA.Method:All 124 patients were chosen and separated into the treatment group and the control group.The treatment group received Fang's scalp acupuncture and body acupuncture while the control group body acupuncture only.NPQ and DHI were taken as the indexes respectively before treating,at the 1st week and 2nd week after treating,analyzed statistically.Result:At the 1st week after treating,comparison between both groupspresented significant difference in the scalesofNPQ(P0.05),it had no obvious difference in scores of DHI(P0.05);it had significant difference in the scores of NPQ and DHI at the 2nd week after treating(P0.01).Conclusion:Fang's scalp acupuncture combined with body acupuncture demonstrate better effects in improving neck pain and vertigo of patients with CSA,the more times of treatment were giventothepatients,themoreobvioustheadvantagesshow,.
