Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of PCNA in human pituitary adenomas and its relation to tumor invasivenes, proliferation and recurrency. Methods Immunohistochemical techniques were used to detect the expression of PCNA in cases of invasive,non-invasive and recurrent pituitary adenomas. Results The expression of PCNA increased significantly in invasive pituitary adenomas group than that in non-invasive group and again the expression of recurrent group increased significantly than that in non-recurrent group. Conclusion The expression of PCNA correlates closely with the invasiveness, proliferation and recurrency in patients with pituitary adenomas.
