Abstract

Objective To investigate the early diagnosis ofpulmonary mycoplasma pneumoniae(MP) infection. Methods Pharynx swab MP rapid liquid culture was used to 320 cases children with mycoplamapneumoniae pneumonia(MPP),340 cases adults with respiratory infection was tested by sputum and pharynx swab culture.320 cases children with respiratory infection was tested by cold agglutination test and specific MP IgG by ELISA.Analysethe results of serological determination and clinical diagnosis. Results In the children with pneumonia,157 cases were positive for rapid liquid culture assay and the positive rate was 49.1%.In the adult with respiratoy infection,112 cases were positive for pharynx swab culture, and the positive rate was 32.9%,28 cases were positive for sputum culture, the positive rate was8.2%;the positive rate was 62.8%(201/320) for MP IgG,the positive rate was 35.6%(114/320)for cold agglutination test. Conclusion MP rapidliquid culture is simple, rapid, sensitive and specific. It can use for the earlydiagnosis of pulmonary Mp infection. It is possible for grass-roots laboratory.
