Clinical research for large doses of ambroxol in the auxiliary treatment of severe pneumonia in children

Objective To observe the efficacy and security of large doses of ambroxol in the auxiliary treatment of severe pneumonia in children.Methods Ninety-eight patients with severe pneumonia were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.The two groups were all given conventional treatment.On the basis of conventional treatment,the treatment group was treated by large doses of ambroxol [30 mg/(kg·d)],and the control group was given conventional doses of ambroxol [7.5 mg/(kg·d)].The courses of treatment were 7-10 d.Results The symptom,body advertises alleviated early in treatment control,and the inflammation index sign and cell factor of the treatment group more obviously lower than that of control group.The total effective rate of treatment group and control group were separately 92.00% and 72.92%,that of the treatment was more obviously high than the control group.And the time of antibiotics application in the treatment grou was less than that of control group,the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05).Conclusion The large doses of ambroxol used for treating severe pneumonia in children is favourable and safe.
